Renewable Energy / Solar / 132kV Infrastructure

Perrinpit Road Solar Farm

Civil engineering works for a major South Gloucestershire solar farm and new 132kV substation.

Project overview

CPM Civil Engineering is supporting Powersystems in the delivery of civil engineering works at Perrinpit Road Solar Farm, a major renewable energy development in South Gloucestershire.

The development comprises an approximately 50MW solar farm and includes a new 132kV substation and grid connection infrastructure. The wider development covers approximately 63 hectares and has been designed to generate around 49,200MWh of renewable electricity annually, sufficient to power approximately 12,900 homes.

CPM's civil engineering works support the infrastructure required for this significant renewable energy and grid connection project, an excellent example of CPM's growing role within the UK's renewable energy infrastructure sector and its ability to work alongside specialist high-voltage contractors.
